This sensitive skin moisturizer contains soothing sea whip and essential lipids from olive, coconut, soy and sunflower seed, plus shea butter (a nut extract).
Rich + Calm Cream is a great sensitive moisturizer derived from many natural lipid based plant sources. It will instantly soothe dry and irritated skin plus make the skin feel smooth and silky.
This rich sensitive moisturizer is ideal for people who produce very little of their own 'natural' moisturizer (aka the oil that comes out of our pores from our sebaceous glands). It is great to also apply this moisturizer on the neck and the back of the hands, and even on the decollete (chest) to help them look more youthful and softer.

By adding lipids back into the skin the sensitivity potential of the skin diminishes. The lipid 'barrier' of the skin provides strength and integrity that helps prevent the impact of 'foreign' elements that typically can cause redness, irritation or even allergy type inflammation.
Rosacea and sensitive skin often just requires lipids like these to balance it out. Restored lipids will also make the skin appear and act more 'youthful' and so reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The rich lipids, soothing sea whip and repair stimulating yeast beta-glucans in Rich + Calm Cream make this an ideal moisturizer and healing repair cream for dry sensitive skin.
Do not apply all over the face if you have combination skin, just to the areas that are 'dry', not the areas that are 'oily'. To learn more about moisturizers see the video 'Moisturizers: Yes or No?' below.

Apply after serums and before sunscreen.
For combination skins, I recommend applying more at night and less in the morning because most of us tend to produce more 'oil' during the day due to hormonal activity from stress, the foods we eat, and other complex hormonal interactions in our body. Heat can make us feel oily because sweat (primarily water and salt) from the sudoriferous glands will cause the 'oil' (from sebaceous glands) to rise to the top and thus makes the 'appear' to be oily. The less moisturizer you apply in these circumstances the better your skin will feel.
