Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40 for sensitive skin offers unparalleled aesthetic elegance while providing superb photoprotective performance. It is a remarkably different kind of sunscreen. While many sunscreens on the market have a white color and heavy feel on the skin, this one has a slight tint which blends in on most skin tones and feels light. It leaves a silky texture and translucent finish on the skin.

Like Tizo3 SPF 40 this sensitive skin sunscreen is superbly matte and silky with 11.8% combined Zinc and Titanium. This is just a sunscreen. It is not a moisturizer. Most people do not need moisturizer all over the face - but they need sunscreen all over the face.

To learn more about sunscreen and skin care see the videos 'Sunscreen: The Critical Facts' as well as 'Sunscreen Myths' in the 'Other Resources' tab. The best sunscreen is made up of inorganic compounds - aka MINERALS....Why? Because minerals contain no carbon like all other sunscreen compounds. Carbon based sunscreen compounds are therefore known as organic. Anything organic contains carbon. Carbon is the basis of all life. Humans and the rest of the animal kingdom (on land and in water), as well as all plants, are carbon based. Anything carbon based will be broken down by UV rays from the sun. Inorganic compounds (minerals) are not broken down by the sun. It goes without saying then that inorganic minerals are the best form of sunscreen....PERIOD.

Mineral sunscreen SPF 40 provides full spectrum UVA and UVB protection. The iron oxides are in the formula to take away the typical 'ghostly whiteness' of zinc and titanium. A minimum of 10% combined zinc and titanium is ideal in a sunscreen. Many companies will try and claim to be mineral based but have only 3 or 4% minerals in them and then fill in the balance with organic (carbon based) sunscreen ingredients. That just does not cut it with me.

I don't recommend it for very dark (equatorial region) skin tones - it will still appear chalky on the skin. Extremely light skin tones (almost devoid of color) will show the slight tint. All other skin tones find this product to be 'heaven-sent' because it is not greasy, thick, and shiny like most other sunscreens. If you have very dry and flaky skin, this sunscreen may exaggerate the dryness, so in this case you should rather use the Mineral Sunscreen SPF 35.

If you need moisturizing anywhere on your face then use a separate moisturizer (underneath the sunscreen - never on top of a sunscreen). Very few people have skin that requires a combined sunscreen and moisturizer.

External use only.

Use this sunscreen every A.M.Apply the size of a large pea on your finger.

Smooth over the facial skin blending evenly.

Never rub a mineral sunscreen, it is just smoothed over the skin. The mineral particles must sit on the skin. The more you rub the more you take the minerals off the skin and thus the less protection you have.

Apply after serums and moisturizer but before makeup.

Reapply after swimming.

Reapply if you wipe or wash the face.

Reapply if in direct sunlight according to the mathematical formula of the SPF as relevant to your skin.

You may want to try using this sunscreen in place of your foundation.

Because it is just a sunscreen you may also apply it carefully around the eyes.
